Chargehand
Join our Shetland team as a Chargehand, supporting operations across crane and cargo handling, forklift/telehandler use, and artic movements. This hands-on role involves supervising jobs, ensuring safety, and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Ops Controller and Management Team with daily operations
- Supervise and lead teams on-site, setting a strong safety example
- Oversee crane and lifting operations (Appointed Person training provided)
- Liaise with clients and support projects on/off the Greenhead Base
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and risk assessments
- Participate in the on-call rota and cover out-of-hours work as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a similar, safety-critical role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Risk assessment knowledge and plant operation experience
- Customer-focused with a commitment to job completion
- Lifting operations or plant operation certification (advantageous)
