Chargehand – Shetland Ops

Join our Shetland team as a Chargehand, supporting operations across crane and cargo handling, forklift/telehandler use, and artic movements. This hands-on role involves supervising jobs, ensuring safety, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

•Support the Ops Controller and Management Team with daily operations

•Supervise and lead teams on-site, setting a strong safety example

•Oversee crane and lifting operations (Appointed Person training provided)

•Liaise with clients and support projects on/off the Greenhead Base

•Ensure compliance with safety procedures and risk assessments

•Participate in the on-call rota and cover out-of-hours work as needed

What We’re Looking For:

•Proven experience in a similar, safety-critical role

•Strong leadership and communication skills

•Risk assessment knowledge and plant operation experience

•Customer-focused with a commitment to job completion

•Lifting operations or plant operation certification (advantageous)
